Soichiro Honda was an ordinary man. He invented a new type of piston and went to Toyota motor corp. to prove that his new piston would considerably improve performance of a car and be very commercially viable. Toyota engineers didn’t even see Honda and Honda was shown the door. Honda tried relentlessly.to be ridiculed by Toyota engineers. But Honda’s patience and perseverance finally paid off and Honda was given order for his new pistons.

Enthralled Honda invested his money, knowledge and total effort into constructing his new company. When the industry was nearing its completion, an earth quake devastated Japan and with that his new company was also devastated.

Honda again built his factory. Just before commencement of production, World War II broke out and Japan and his factory blew up.

Honda lost his factory, wealth, friends but not self-confidence. Honda built the factory for the 3^rd time.
